Feeling a lot like the sixth film in the series, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a well done action game that combines elements of stealth, gunplay, exploration, and puzzle solving. Troy Baker is outstanding as the famed archaeologist, and sounds nearly identical to a younger Harrison Ford. The game length of 18-24 hours fits perfectly, and for those willing to go the extra mile there is a secret ending in addition to the main ending. It only occasionally stumbles, with some enemies a bit too quick to see through disguises and it sometimes can be hard to figure out where to go next. The first person perspective works well, with being able to do climbing portions in third person.

PROS
Excellent voice acting
Well done story with memorable villains and quests
Choices with how to approach a situation (go quiet or loud)
Great visuals
Good puzzles that give a reasonable challenge to solve
Nice use of the whip
Game never overstays its welcome

CONS
Occasional technical hiccup
Some enemies can too easily see through disguises
Can be hard in spots to tell where to go next
Gunplay can feel a little unbalanced

MachineGames did an excellent job with Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in making it feel like an extension to the film series. It stumbles here and there, but for the most part the game is a lot of fun to play. Fans of the movies as well as fans of games like the Uncharted and Tomb Raider franchises should enjoy this, making a purchase an easy choice. It also helps that it’s on Xbox’s Game Pass.
