This first week of October brings a nice selection of choices for gamers as well as those who enjoy home video. The stealth game Aragami comes to the PS4 and PC, and fans of Atari classics get two volumes for their PS4 and Xbox One. Wannabe gangsters can become their own crime boss of the bayou in Mafia III, and Nintendo’s favorite plumber is back in the action-adventure game Paper Mario: Color Splash. Home video sees the arrival of X-Men: Apocalypse to the small screen, and those missing playing Final Fantasy XV can take some solace in watching Kingsglaive. Coming out ahead of both Halloween and Election Day in the US is the horror thriller The Purge: Election Year, and horror fans can enjoy binging on TV series as the first season of Preacher arrives on DVD/Blu-ray as well as the fifth season of American Horror Story. Hitting the big screen this week is the thriller The Girl on the Train, the family friendly comedy Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life, and the already critically acclaimed historical drama The Birth of a Nation. Now time to head off to this week’s list and, as always, release dates are subject to change.
