There’s a lot to like and a few things to dislike in Almighty: Kill Your Gods. The focus seems to be on gameplay with lore formed around it. The concept is really interesting and there’s more lore to unlock in knowledge missions that appear in your codex. Fighting takes a bit to get used to, as you can lose health very quickly without realizing it until too late. However, once you get the hang of it, stringing together combos and mowing down enemies can be quite satisfying. Controls are pretty good and straightforward, though a bit sensitive. The game can be played solo or multiplayer. There’s more fun to be had with friends as you can get into different roles and pack loadouts. Character customization is unlocked through quests.
