Pros
- Sound quality, even through wireless, is incredible.
- Very comfortable to wear for long peroids of time.
- Ability to have bluetooth audio playing while listening to game audio as well is a plus.
- Lots of audio customization using the Audeze app.
- Mic sounds great.
- Built in 3D audio is awesome to use not just for gaming.
- USB-C chrarging makes it fast to charge headset.
- USB adapter allows it to run on any device with a USB type A port.
Cons
- Weird connection issues when using bluetooth along with wireless game audio. Bluetooth could keep saying pairing though it eas already paired and providing audio from that source.
- Wireless range isn’t the farthest reachng.
- Mic kept leaning down.
- Button placement is awkward (still have issues trying to find the source button sometimes).
- Wireless dongle is big, biggest one I’ve seen on a headset I’ve reviewed.
In Summary
I have loved my time with the Penrose. After using the Mobius I had high expectations going in and they nailed nearly every one of them out of the gate. These are my go-to console headphones now and love how they feel on my head. Though there are some odd issues with Bluetooth connection, and the look is a bit less appealing than the Mobius, if you have the money to get these you will fall in love with them almost instantly and wonder why you didn’t get these sooner.
