In Summary
I’ve been a rabid fan of Diablo since I first had a PC growing up, and each iteration has been a gigantic leap forward from its predecessor. The fourth Diablo is no different, a massive jump over Diablo III, while also retaining the core of what’s made every game fun. The constant drip of new items to equip, the dungeons that never get tedious, the story that calls back to the prior games but isn’t required if you don’t know it, the sheer variety in character builds, and so much more.
2023 has already been an amazing year for video games and Diablo IV is another notch in that belt, and currently sits as my frontrunner for Game of The Year.
