Quick Time Review: The Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice Edition

Developers: Obsidian Entertainment, Virtuos

Publishers: Take Two Interactive, Private Division

Release Date: March 7, 2023

Available on: Microsoft Windows, Playstation 5, Xbox Series X and S

In 2019, Obisidian Entertainment and Private Division released their RPG, The Outer Worlds , which went on to win numerous awards. Now, in 2023, gamers are getting the ultimate way to play the game with all previously released DLC. The game still sucks you in after you create your character, and gives you the freedom to play how you wish. You can be law abiding, law breaking, a mix between the two, or be a completely flawed doofus stumbling through the galaxy. The visual upgrades make the game look great, and for the most part it plays smoothly. It’s a great way to bring the game to current consoles in one complete package.

PROS

Good character creation

Freedom to play how you wish

Good visuals

Addictive gameplay with plenty to do

Wide variety of weapons

Includes all previously released DLC

Built in replayability

CONS

Map can at times be confusing

Weapon swapping can feel a little awkward

Occassional difficulty spikes

In all, The Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice Edition is the ultimate way to play this award winning RPG. It includes all previously released DLC and has some nice upgraded visuals. If the base game and its DLC are not in your collection already, this package is the way to go.
