Quick Time Review: WWE 2K22

Pros

  • Gameplay is a much better blend of arcade with hints of simulation that makes each match fun to play.
  • Graphics looked to have improved….mostly.
  • Loads of customization for both wrestlers, entrances, and so much more.
  • The online character creations list is massive, if you want a character, they’re in the game (even Crash Bandicoot).

Cons

  • The Rey Mysterio story feels rushed
  • Matches can still have weird moments that take you out of the game.
  • Certain audio portions feel out of place and recorded in a bathroom on a 2$ mic.

In Summary

I was very hesitant to pick up WWE 2K22 at first, but after hearing some positive things about it I jumped into my first WWE game in 3 years and am so happy I did. Yes, the game does have its shortcomings but there are so many more improvements in the game than in years past it’s well worth your time if you’re a wrestling fan. Hell, even if you’re an AEW fan you can supplement the entire roster with them thanks to the online character creations. This is the most fun I’ve had with a WWE game in a long, long time and is a game I will keep playing for months, maybe years, to come.
