In a interview with Comic Vine, Scott Lobdell stated that Teen Titans will be cancelled, and the final issue will be #30 in April. Lobdell had been one of the few writers to stay on a series so long in the New 52 (started in issue 1). There is no word whether the series will be relaunched in any way yet, so this could be the end of the popular team of Super Teens. Though Lobdell did say “Trust me when I say we haven’t seen the last of everyone’s favorite teen team adventurers.”, thus hinting at a possible chance for a relaunch.
Teen Titans Concludes with Issue 30 in April
The Teen Titans have always been a popular group, but under the New 52 and Lobdell, the critical reception had been under whelming. Issue #0 brought a highly contested Tim Drake recon, in which he never was a Robin originally, and Tim Drake was not his real name, which brought mixed reactions from fans.
DC’s decision to end the book seems odd, but perhaps there are bigger plans in the works for the Titans.
