New Releases for the Week of Monday, May 15, 2017

A relatively varied week for gamers. Injustice 2 arrives, once again pitting the heroes and villains of the DC universe against each other, Farpoint allows players to explore a distant planet in VR, The Surge puts a sci-fi twist on the Dark Souls formula, and a new Fire Emblem comes out for the 3DS. Home video sees the wrap up of the adventures of zombie slayer Alice in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Also out is the sci-fi drama The Space Between Us and the action sequel XXX: Return of Xander Cage. For those visiting their local cineplex, it’s time to scream in space again as a new group of travelers encounters xenomorphs in Alien: Covenant. Also landing in theaters this week is the romantic drama Everything, Everything and the family-friendly comedy Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. time now for this week’s list and, as always, release dates are subject to change.
