“I hope that when people finish it, they’ll feel like he died in a way that was true to him”
With those words, Charles Soule (Thunderbolts, Swamp Thing) has introduced the end of the character we know as Wolverine. Soule, along with artist Steve McNiven (Uncanny Avengers) intend to end the life of everyone’s favorite X-Man, (well, maybe not so much) Wolverine.
Editor Mike Marts says that Wolverine “finally comes up against an adversary that he cannot win against, he cannot fight,” before going on to pose the question: “What does that mean for this character who’s been around for a hundred years?”
This weekly series (Taking a page out of DC’s book, are we Marvel?) will deal with the consequences of Wolverine’s enemies realizing that he no longer has his healing factor, and hasn’t had it for almost a year now. This means that they will undoubtedly be coming after Logan in this four issue mini series.
How dead Wolverine will stay, or if he will even die in a literal sense, remains to be seen. You can enjoy speculating in the comment section (Yup, we have one of those. Give us some comments.) below until the series kicks off on September 3rd of this year.
