For the first time ever Star Wars related content will be available on Netflix. The final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be exclusively released on Netflix in the U.S and Canada March. 7th.
In addition to the 13 episodes, Netflix will also release the entire run of the Clone War saga. Even more interesting is there will be additional directors cuts episodes never before seen on television. The series feature film will also be available.
Of the announcement Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos had this to say:
“Stars Wars is one of the most iconic franchises of all time and this series joins a long line of Disney content that Netflix members are and will continue to enjoy for years to come,the Clone Wars marks an important moment as Netflix welcomes more and more first-run content from The Walt Disney Company and its subsidiaries.”
No word yet on when the series will be available on Netflix accounts outside North America.
