How To Watch E3

Okay, so I’ll just get right to it, E3 will be EVERYWHERE today, so where exactly should you be looking? (Besides here obviously, always keep one eye on WTN, at a minimum) So with your other eye you can watch all of the press conferences, and exclusive interviews, and backstage accesses, and everything everywhere right? Well I’ll show you what to do!

First of all, what are you planning on watching the shows on?

PC (Laptop, desktop, Mac, whatever)

E3 will be streamed live via Twitch and various other outlets, the following is a list of locations you can view the press conferences from throughout the day.

• TWITCH – http://www.twitch.tv/twitch – Twitch has a full schedule of streaming for the day including specials for Hotline Miami 2, Battlefield Hardline, and The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt
• IGN – http://www.ign.com/events/e3 – IGN, as always, will have a plethora of live shows featuring Pre and Post shows for each press conference.
• GAME TRAILERS – http://www.gametrailers.com/e3 – GT is partnered with SPIKE to bring their All Access coverage all day with guests including Phil Spencer, Jack Tretton, world premieres, and each of the press conferences.
• GAME INFORMER – http://bit.ly/1ptDk7r – GI will be streaming each of the press conferences and will have original content throughout the week as well.
• POLYGON – http://www.polygon.com/a/e3-2014 – Here is where you can find each press conference and any original content Polygon will have for the week.
• GIANT BOMB – http://www.giantbomb.com/ – The boys at GB will be narrating over each press conference with their real time reactions and thoughts on each show, they will have guests dropping by, and will most likely be streaming all day/week.

Xbox/Playstation*

I know what you’re thinking, you’re thinking “Drew, I spent hundreds of dollars on these awesome consoles, can’t I use them to watch E3 on my nice big tv instead?”  The short answer is yes!

Microsoft will be sharing all of their content via the Xbox 360 and Xbox One

(*I have no idea if you can watch E3 via a Wii U or 3Ds)

Mobile

These days, some people just do not have time to sit and watch hours and hours of awesome E3 video content, so they may have to make do with whatever their mobile device can provide.  In most cases this means a Twitch App, but my recommendation is to also consider checking out most of the links above on your mobile device’s web browser.  YouTube livestreams may also be an option.  Just be aware that watching live-streams on a mobile device will quickly deplete your battery and eat up data if not on wifi.
