New Creative Team Coming to Amazing X-Men

Changes are definitely abound in the X-Men corner of the Marvel Universe. With Jason Aaron (Wolverine and the X-Men) having already ended and left Wolverine and the X-Men, it seems that he will also be replaced on Amazing X-Men, a series that he has only been writing for only three issues so far. Aaron will be exiting the book with July’s issue #8.

Though Aaron is leaving, series artist Ed McGuiness (Superman/Batman) will be be staying on board for the transition to the new writing team of Chris Yost and Craig Kyle (New X-Men). This is far from the first time the duo have collaborated on writing a book, or even an X-Men book. However, this creative team shift does mean that Jason Aaron will be left with no X-Men titles to his name, which, for fans of his writing style, is undoubtedly a bummer.

Of the series, Kyle said the following:

Chris and I…love to weave stories that tap into the huge history these characters share. The personal, professional, social, emotional, psychological, and spiritual conflicts experienced by each X-Man offer us rich story material to pull from. In the coming issues we hope to create new stories that will please longtime X-fans like us while still allowing a clean entry point for new readers to jump right in.
