Pros
- The blend of DnD and Borderlands is a perfect combo and is more entertaining than more DnD based video games on their own.
- The colors are bright and vibrant.
- The extra layer of magic along with mele and gun combat gives it a more diverse option to what your character does and adds more fun to combat.
- Overworld adds an extra RPG element with some Pokemon spliced in.
- Story is ridiculous and over the top in a much better way than Borderlands 3 and more engaging.
- Crossplay across other consoles is smooth.
Cons
- Character lines can get repetitive over time.
- Not much is explained over time if you’re new to the Borderlands franchise (vending machines for example).
In Summary
I absolutely loved my time with Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. I was a big fan of Borderlands until 3 came out which just didn’t click for me personally, but TTW changed that for me. I had a blast playing and it combined how I play DnD with my friends (sorry everyone) with the gameplay that brought Borderlands to the table to begin with. While I do feel 70$ is a bit much for any title right now, this feels as complete of a package as one could get for that price tag right now. Whether you’re playing solo or with friends this is well worth picking up.
