In a strong of announcements this week, DC must have felt left out, and so, we’re getting a DC announcement. Sinestro, the arch nemesis, and best friend, of Hal Jordan will be starring in his own series, set to debut on April 16th of this year. This series will come from acclaimed writer Cullen Bunn (The Sixth Gun, Fearless Defenders) and artist Dale Eaglesham (Green Lantern, Punisher). This will mark Bunn’s first book for DC, and arguably the most high profile character he’ll be writing, barring Magneto which was announced late last year.
Some details from the series have been given as well. The series will open after the ending of Green Lantern #20 with a broken Sinestro, a Sinestro that has lost everything he cares about. His family, friends, and his home, have all been lost to him. The story will involve the one-time Sinestro Corps member Lyssa Drak, who will feature prominently, likely as the antagonist for the first story arc.
So ring slingers? Are you excited to see this? Glad to have the Lantern catalogue expanded? Or are you burned out on Lantern books? Let us know in the comments!

Psyched about the art ! Not as psyched about Bunn
Really? I’ve enjoyed quite a bit of his work. The Sixth Gun is really good and Fearless Defenders was great. I know people tend to not enjoy his work but if you haven’t read those they may change your mind about his writing.
