It seems that the LEGO brand is really branching out. Following a chart topping success of a movie which actually turned out to be great, they’ve announced that there will be an episode of The Simpsons done entirely in Lego form. That’s right. This will be an ALL LEGO EPISODE of the animated TV show. And this won’t be just some random episode of the show. This episode, rendered fully in LEGO form, will mark the show’s 550th episode. That’s right. 550th episode. Great idea you’ve got there, Matt Groening.
Anyways, this benchmark episode of the show is set to be called “A Brick Like Me,” which is obviously a play on “Lego bricks”. Of course, this will air on Fox, and the following synopsis was released along with the announcement:
[quote]Homer wakes up in a world where his family and everyone in Springfield are made of Legos. Will he be able to “put together” how he got there and how to get back home before he’s stuck in the brick world forever?[/quote]
This announcement also comes hot on the heels of the release of a Simpsons themed Lego set, a model of The Simpsons symbolic home from the show. The set is priced at a steep $199.99, and includes over 2,000 pieces. But if that’s a little bit out of your price range, look for this episode of the popular sitcom, which will air soon.
This episode will be a part of the shows 25th season.
